26 Y-chromosomal STR loci in the Hui ethnic group in China

The Hui ethnic group is one of 56 ethnic groups, and is the most widespread ethnic minority in China. The Hui chiefly reside in the Ningxia, Qinghai, and Gansu Provinces. The demographic history of Hui is unique: it originated from migrating Muslim groups from west and central Asia, and have experienced significant interactions with other groups, such as the Mongolian, the Uyghur and the Han group.
