Hello, my Russian isn't the best in writing but my family came from what is today Minsk, Belarus. My Y-haplogroup is E1b1b1a1c (E-V22) and I have been looking for months and I keep seeing it is extremely rare (especially for Jews it seems) in Europe north of the Alps, let alone in the former Russian Empire. Does anyone have any thoughts or ideas as to how or why my ancestors whose genes are more common among Moroccan Jews and other Mediterranean Jews got to Eastern Europe? Hope this question makes sense, thank you! Spasiba!
