B. RDF File
The RDF file format was introduced by A.Rohl in 90s for using with their program Network (now Network(R) of Fluxus). We do not present any formal definition of this format, however some differences between the original RDF and that expected by Murka will be described here in detail.
1. Taxa and characters names are not limited in length; the following example is valid for Murka:
bbdddd
iinnnn
nnaaaa
cccccc
hhhhhh
aaaaaa
rrrrrr
aaaaaa
cccccc
tttttt
121234
T2b\nAY495305 00TGTC 01
T2a\nAY495304 01TGTC 01
2. If the first taxa row does not follow the last character name row immediately,
the rows between them should contain only spaces and be the same length as the character name rows. The contrary, only newline characters (and no spaces) are allowed between taxa rows and weight row. Here is an example where "//" is placed exactly after the last space in the row:
123
//5 spaces
A 000 01
X 100 01
R 010 01
S 001 01
B 011 01
Y 111 01
//0 spaces
101010
3. Both UNIX (LF) and MS Windows (CRLF) endlines are recognizable by Murka.
4. The above examples can be successfully parsed only if "datasize" is set to 1 and "numdatasize" is 2, see the previous section. Here is an example to be processed with datasize = 2 and numdatasize = 3 values:
D D D D
Y Y Y Y
S S S S
3 3 1 3
9 9 9 9
3 0 / 1
3
9
4
1 12231410 001
2 12231510 001
3 12241410 001
4 12241510 001
5 12241510 001
010010010010
In the above example each column with a character name is followed by one column of spaces to fill the place which remains because each cell with data has size 2. If "datasize" value is set to 3 Murka expects 2 columns of spaces after each name column, etc.
Taxa frequencies can be also aligned right within the space allocated for them:
1 12231410 1
2 12231510 1
1 12231410 001
2 12231510 001
5. There cannot be ending spaces in the rows with non-empty data, with the only exception of character names with "datasize" > 1, as it was described above, they should be left-aligned with spaces on the right.
6. We strongly recommend to name columns and rows using only English letters, digits, hyphen and underscore. Spaces are not allowed, some characters ("@", ":", ";", ",", "{", "}", "<" and ">") already have special use and this list will be extended shortly.
7. Note that taxa frequency records have the same (variable) size as those for weights, while in the original version of RDF they are independent and fixed.
YCH там не описан увы.
