Do you know anything about Pyotr Andreyevichs' older brother Mikhail?
As you can see from the records below that the Mormons have, Pyotr did indeed have an older brother Mikhail and if you look further down the record you will find a marriage record for Mikhail to Pelagia CZARTORYSKA (Polish spelling) but she is one of my ancestral family the Chertorizhsky so I too would like to find out where the Tolstoy came from.
I do know that my ancestors were in and around Aleksin not too far from Istomin (Kaluga region) in the second half of the 1600's so the records look like being true.
