René is positive for FGC11555, only that this result has not been reported by FTDNA, as he shows only 5 reads for this particular locus (with all 5 reads showing the derived/mutated allele C), while FTDNA reports only those SNPs that are represented by at least 10 reads.
Based on the above, we can conclude that René belongs to subclade FGC11555 under L1280. FTDNA reports 29 unnamed variants found in his Big Y-700 test, but this includes some known SNPs that are either equivalent to L1280 or upstream of it, so when excluding those SNPs shared by all L1280 members, we are left with only 23 "private" SNPs downstream of FGC11555. Unfortunately, neither of them is shared by any of the six previously tested members of clade FGC11555, including three members of family Shuh/Schuhe and three independent lineages of Czech (ancestral surname Kníže), Polish (ancestral surname Żarowski) and Puerto Rican (ancestral surname Hernanndez) origin, although we should also keep in mind that there are also three undertested FTDNA customers belonging to a yet unknown Russian sublineage and three undertested FTDNA customers forming a hypothetical Alpine sublineage under FGC11555, plus an Italian/Sicilian lineage likely distantly related to family Shuh/Schuhe. However, it should be noted that 8 out of those 23 private SNPs found in René have not been covered by the previous versions of Big Y, so we can confirm their absence only in the YElite-tested lineages of Kníže and Hernandez.
