The H11 haplogroup is considered to be one of the oldest H haplogroups around 48,000 years old. This group is thought to have spent the last glacial maximum at the Ukraina refuge (likely situated in the area of Ukraine/Georgia/Ossetia) where the members retreated as the ice sheets advanced from the north.
Mostly the members of the group are from eastern Europe, western Europe, southern Europe and the British Isles.
