Most respected and distinguished Wladzislaw,
I have looked at all the comments that I have written on this Great site and no where can I find any statement made by myself to the effect that my ancestral family the Chertorizhskih (Черторижских) are related to the Czartoryski, and God forbid that I should ever call myself Prince.
I am just a simple man who is looking to create a family tree for his grandchildren so that they too can see where their ancestors had come from and to have a sense of pride in what their ancestors had managed to achieve. I have taught my children that knowing your roots is very important as it is with any young tree the deeper the roots grow the taller the tree becomes and yet it is not blown down in a storm, so roots are very important.
Yes it is true that my family does not have all documented records as some families do but when they left Russia in late 1920 they barely got out with their lives let alone with any documents, yes a few Passports, Bank Bonds and Insurance papers but no family Genealogy, it is only after 25 years of research (do not forget Russia had the Iron Curtain up and getting information out of Russia was impossible) do I have a tree that goes back to the year 1643 but no link to the Czartoryski.
In my research I have found where others have made that mistake, did you know that the Mormons in their great vault in the mountains around Salt Lake City in the US have incorrect information in their Ancestral files, have a look for yourself
http://www.familysearch.org/eng/search/frameset_search.asp?PAGE=/eng/search/ancestorsearchresults.asp type in Czartoyski in the Last Name box and click search see number 7, marriage record for Afanasij Kondratyevich CZARTORYSKI married to Evdokiya Semenovna Princess VOLKONSKAYA have a look at number 28, Jan CZARTORYSKI Birth abt.1624 <Of, Dmitrov, Moskva, Russia> both these are not Czartoryski but Chertorizhski, I had written to the site and let them know of the mistake but to date no change.
As to how my DNA matches those in this G type I do not know, but as my father would say NEVER say NEVER, you never know if in the future maybe some written records might surface to show who my ancestors were and where they came from and possibly be linked to the Czartoryski, we do know that only one of the two possible branches of the Czartoryski has taken the tests and come up with a R1b result so they are not biological descendants of the original Czartoryski family and the other branch it not interested in doing a test so if you could persuade Prince Adam Karol Czartoryski to do a test I would only be too happy to pay for the test as I did with the first Czartoryski test.
I leave you with something written in Russian as its meaning I do not wish lost.
My apologies if my surname offends you in anyway or if you think that I am trying to link the two names together in anyway, I will in the future refrain from any further comments on this site as my meaning is getting lost in the translation I will however continue to read with great interest the discussions and the different view points on this Great site.
With kind regards and respect to all.
