Mitochondrial DNA Evidence of Southward Migration of Manchus in China // Молекулярная биология

Forty-seven Manchu individuals were analyzed using mitochondrial DNA marker. The results showed that these samples shared fourteen mtDNA haplogroups, the representative haplogroups of east Eurasian; Manchu was close to the neighboring populations such as Inner Mongolians, Koreans and northern Han Chinese, and was far away with other populations such as Northern Asia, Hmong-Mien and Daic populations, according to the analysis of PCA , AMOVA and network. We then concluded that Manchu assimilated with natives gradually following its southward migration.

Accord to the paper,the Manchus are most similar to inner Mongolians,then Liaoning Han Chinese,then Koreans
Compare with groups,most similar to northern minorities,then nothern Han,then Tibeto-Burman,far away to northern Asians(Siberians)
