To Members of the Project “Normans of Continental Europe”: Wondering if any of the members of our Project “Normans of Continental Europe” intend ordering the new SNP L338? I know that some of you have already ordered this SNP. I think it would be desired that in each I1 subclade represented in our Project, some people would order the SNP L338. It’s not expensive at $29 and is ordered from the Advanced Marker section in FTDNA accounts. Dr Nordtvedt announced on Genealogy-DNA 25 Nov: “Finally we I1* folks seem to have acquired a breakthrough snp. It is called L338. Because the WTY fellow who was first seen with it, and then the next guy to be tested for it in control were both from clade I1-AS1, it was first thought to be a new snp derived for all of I1. But then an I1*-generic tested ancestral and an I1-Bothnian L22 tested ancestral. So this snp could be a biggy, dividing the huge I1*-AS division of I1 at last in a robust manner…” Dr Krahn (FTDNA): “From this finding it looks like L338 represents a significant division in between the I1 branches.” Best regards, Dr Marek Skarbek Kozietulski Administrator of the Project “Normans of Continental Europe”
Пришло сегодня из рассылки по проекту "Норманны центральной "Европы, еще какой-то принципиально важный для I1* снип открыли. Аббат, ты уже получил, что думаешь о данном снипе?
