Оливер "Олли" Стидс в джунглях

Oliver "Olly" Steeds (born in 1975 in London) is a British explorer and journalist who has travelled to more than 100 countries. He is best known for appearing in the Travel Channel's series Mark & Olly: Living with the Tribes with Mark Anstice. He is the founder of iNOMAD, a company that "works to promote exploration as the basis of our progression."[1]

Career

Steeds received his education at Radley College. Steeds is also a journalist for Al Jazeera. As Asia bureau chief for ABC, he has reported from China, Mongolia, Burma, Indonesia, and the 2004 tsunami zones. Also, Slave: Breaking the Chains his award-winning piece, was nominated for an Emmy. In the forthcoming publication Faces of Exploration, he is the youngest of the 50 explorers.

Oliver has been featured on the Travel Channel's Living With the Mek: The Adventures of Mark and Olly. The Mek are an indigenous tribe of West Papua, New Guinea. Living with the Mek is the second season of the show. Mark and Olly have also done Living with the Kombai in 2006. As of 2010, Steeds is the host of the Discovery Channel's series Solving History with Olly Steeds.[2]
