Genetic polymorphism of Y-chromosomal STR loci in South Korean population
Zhang et al, 2007

Received 1 June 2006; received in revised form 2 January 2007; accepted 5 January 2007. published online 26 February 2007.

Abstract

Y-chromosomal STRs loci were analyzed from a sample of 355 healthy unrelated male individuals of South Korean population. Allele and haplotype frequencies for DYS441, DYS442, DYS443, DYS444, DYS445, DYS446, DYS452 and DYS456 were determined by the general PCR and silver staining methods. The gene diversity values for the Y-STRs loci ranged from 0.4902 (DYS465) to 0.7883 (DYS446). A total of 263 haplotypes were identified in the Y-STR loci, among which 225 were unique, while 38 occurred more than once. And the combined haploytpes diversity was 0.9958.

For example, a broad survey of Y-chromosome variation among populations of central Eurasia found haplogroup O-M175*(xO1a-M119,O2a-M95,O3-M122) in 2.5% (one out of 40 individuals) of a sample of Tajiks in Samarkand, 4.5% (1/22) of Crimean Tatars in Uzbekistan, 1.5% (1/68) of Uzbeks in Surkhandarya, 1.4% (1/70) of Uzbeks in Khorezm, 6.3% (1/16) of Tajiks in Dushanbe, 1.9% (1/54) of Kazakhs in Kazakhstan, 4.9% (2/41) of Uyghurs in Kazakhstan, and 31.1% (14/45) of Koreans.[1] However, nearly all of these Korean O*(xO1a,O2a,O3) Y-chromosomes probably belong to Haplogroup O2b, which has been found in approximately 30% of many samples of Koreans.

А вот ещё
Haplogroup O2 is generally found only among certain populations, such as the Austroasiatic peoples of India, Bangladesh and Southeast Asia, the Nicobarese of the Nicobar Islands in the Indian Ocean, and the Koreans, Japanese, and Tungusic peoples of Northeast Asia.
