Ждем "Черной пятницы" для апгрейда до Big Y. К слову, у меня переписка с известным (в узких кругах
) Hunter Provyn, пара выдержек из его писем касательно этой темы:
I found you as a somewhat distant match to Vasily Metlin of Kursk Oblast, Russia at 37 markers. Given the genetic distance of 5 you do not show up in each other's matches in FTDNA. However because you share a number of rare STR values it is possible that you really are in fact related, though perhaps through an ancestor who lived several of hundreds of years ago.
I think Vasily may be PH1602 but this hasn't been confirmed yet.
I will group you all together (along with Michael Krause of Poland who I predict may be more distantly related to Vasily) until further testing shows this prediction is wrong.
...
I'm glad you are interested to upgrade to Big Y, it'll be a better investment than just doing STRs alone, given you have no close STR matches except Vasily Metlin who is also somewhat distant. It will help our research into our deeper common origins to learn how you and Vasily are related to our ancestors.
I took a look at our only Z8421's STRs (#272723 of Italy) and don't see anything indicative of you being related to him. Who told you you may be related to him and what were the reasons? Your closest genetic distance matches were in the screenshot I sent you and he wasn't in the list. Someone more distant could still be your relatively closest relative, but they'd need to share some rare STRs with you for it to be obvious from 37 STR results, which is not the case except with Vasily Metlin.
https://predict.yseq.net/index.php It predicted R1a-Z280 but with low confidence.
